Company Distilling Lynchburg Review: Cocktails, Family Moments & Tennessee Charm

Written by Nancy Fae for His, Hers & the Good Life

Introduction

There’s a particular charm to Lynchburg, Tennessee — the kind that settles in slowly, like warm sunlight stretching across the historic town square. After our Jack Daniel’s distillery tour, Jeff, our daughter Ashley, and I met up with Jeff’s mom Jackie and her boyfriend Nick for lunch at the BBQ Caboose Cafe. The kind of lunch where everyone is still replaying the tour in their heads. From there, we wandered over to Company Distilling for drinks, because when you’re already steeped in Tennessee whiskey culture, why stop at one distillery?

A Quick Pour of Company Distilling History

Company Distilling was founded by former Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller Jeff Arnett, who stepped out to build something new while honoring the craftsmanship he helped shape for years. Their Lynchburg location sits right on the historic town square — modern, warm, and intentionally cozy. It’s the kind of place where you can sip cocktails, listen to live music, and feel like you’ve stumbled into a local favorite rather than a tourist stop. Everyone who works there is genuinely kind, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay awhile.

His Take (Jeff)

Company Distilling has that perfect blend of familiar Tennessee heritage and fresh, modern energy. I liked that it didn’t feel staged. It felt lived in, like a place where locals actually hang out. Clean branding, sharp bar setup, and cocktails crafted with real intention.

Cowboy Colada

I started with the Cowboy Colada — bourbon, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and a Luxardo cherry. It was smooth, tropical, and surprisingly balanced for a bourbon-forward drink. Later, I went for the Tropical Tennessee, which leaned into coconut and pineapple with tiki bitters. It was bright, refreshing, and exactly the kind of cocktail you want on a warm Tennessee afternoon.

Watching Nick finally get his hands on that bacon salt rim he’d been hunting for months was a highlight. The man looked like he’d just completed a quest. His Bloody Mary — vodka, Zing Zang, lemon, olives, and that famous bacon salt rim — was everything he hoped it would be.

Company Distilling is relaxed, friendly, and absolutely worth the stop.

Her Take (Nancy Fae)

Company Distilling feels like stepping into a modern Southern lounge — deep blues, warm wood, soft lighting, and a vibe that says, “You’re welcome here.” I loved it immediately.

Ashley ordered the Bourbon & Berries, a gorgeous mix of bourbon, vanilla bean, raspberry, strawberry, and orange bitters. It smelled like summer and tasted even better.

Jackie, Ashley, and I all ordered the Strawberry Colada — vanilla bean, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, strawberry syrup, and a pineapple garnish. It was bright, fruity, and fun. The kind of drink that makes you smile before you even take the first sip.

The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was wonderful, and the drinks were crafted with care. It felt like the perfect way to wind down after a day steeped in Lynchburg tradition.

Closing

His (Jeff)

Company Distilling is the kind of place you recommend without hesitation. Great drinks, great people, great atmosphere. If you’re already in Lynchburg for Jack Daniel’s, you’d be missing out if you didn’t swing by the square and grab a cocktail here.

Her (Nancy Fae)

I loved everything about this stop — the drinks, the vibe, the friendly staff, and the way it added a perfect finishing note to our Lynchburg day. It’s cozy, charming, and absolutely worth the visit.

The Good Life

This visit fits perfectly into our Good Life because it wasn’t just about the cocktails. It was about family, laughter, shared stories, and discovering new favorites together. Company Distilling gave us a memory worth savoring, one sip at a time.
