How We Feel About the Wine
Tiny Umbrellas Moscato: The Sweet Little Vacation Wines I Can’t Stop Thinking About
Before we go any further, let’s get the obvious out of the way: yes, Tiny Umbrellas is a sweet Moscato wine. And yes, I’m fully aware that somewhere out there a wine snob just clutched their pearls. That’s fine. We like what we like — and in this house, we enjoy everything from whiskey to tequila to vodka to dessert‑leaning rums. If someone wants to gatekeep joy, that’s their burden to carry.
For the rest of us who appreciate a fun, fruity, easy‑drinking bottle that tastes like a mini vacation, Tiny Umbrellas Moscato is a delight.
I discovered these wines the same way many of my favorite bottles find me: Total Wine’s Winery Direct list, filtered by 4+ stars and a high number of customer reviews. That combination rarely misses, and Tiny Umbrellas proved the rule.
Throughout 2025, these bottles were always on the shelf — especially the Moscato and Pink Moscato. The Fresh Strawberry and Island Pineapple were more elusive, but I snagged them a couple of times. Then 2026 rolled around, and suddenly… nothing. Gone. Vanished. Not a single bottle in sight. No online listings, no “discontinued” announcement, no explanation. Just a mysterious disappearance.
I’m holding out hope that it’s a supply issue, because these wines became my favorite Moscato expressions — even compared to Stella Rosa and Barefoot. They’re similar, sure, but Tiny Umbrellas has something extra. A crispness. A lighter sweetness. A little less syrup, a little more sunshine. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but whatever it is, it works.
Below is my take on all four flavors I’ve tried — and yes, I’m ranking them.
1. Tiny Umbrellas Moscato (Original)
Flavor Vibe: Peach, mango, honey, soft fizz
Overall Mood: Poolside, feet up, sunglasses on
The original Moscato is the baseline that tells you exactly what Tiny Umbrellas is about: tropical fruit, gentle sweetness, and a lightly sparkling finish that keeps it refreshing instead of sticky. It’s the kind of bottle you open when you want something uncomplicated and happy. Think peach, pineapple, and a little floral lift.
2. Tiny Umbrellas Pink Moscato — My Undisputed Favorite
Flavor Vibe: Strawberry, watermelon, peach blossom
Overall Mood: Brunch with your best people
This one stole my heart. The Pink Moscato is everything I love about the original, but with a playful berry twist that makes it feel extra celebratory. It’s bright, juicy, and just a little flirty. If I could only have one Tiny Umbrellas bottle for the rest of my life, this would be it.
3. Tiny Umbrellas Fresh Strawberry
Flavor Vibe: Ripe strawberry, light citrus, soft sweetness
Overall Mood: Summer picnic, strawberry shortcake energy
This one was harder to find, but worth the hunt. It leans into the strawberry note without becoming candy‑sweet. It’s refreshing, fruity, and perfect for anyone who loves a berry‑forward Moscato. I wish I’d grabbed more while I could.
4. Tiny Umbrellas Island Pineapple
Flavor Vibe: Pineapple, tropical punch, citrus spritz
Overall Mood: Beach vacation in a bottle
Island Pineapple is the most “tropical cocktail” of the lineup — bright, juicy, and unapologetically fun. It’s the kind of wine that makes you want to sit on a patio and pretend you’re on island time. Another one that disappeared too quickly from the shelves.
So… Where Did They Go?
That’s the million‑dollar question. As of now, there’s no official discontinuation announcement, no press release, no retailer notes. Just a quiet vanishing act. My hope is that it’s a supply chain hiccup — packaging delays, distribution shifts, or a temporary production pause.
Until then, I’m rationing the few bottles I have left like they’re liquid gold.
Final Ranking (Because of Course I Have One)
1. Pink Moscato — the star of the show
2. Moscato (Original) — the classic
3. Fresh Strawberry — the berry beauty
4. Island Pineapple — the tropical wildcard
I genuinely enjoyed all four, but the Pink Moscato sits comfortably at the top.
If You Know Anything… Tell Me Everything
If anyone out there has intel on availability, sourcing, or whether Tiny Umbrellas is coming back to Total Wine shelves, please share. I know I’m not the only one who fell in love with these little bottles of sunshine.
Until then, I’ll be over here sipping my last Pink Moscato like it’s a rare vintage.
