About This Wine from the Maker
Caldwell Vineyard Chardonnay is unlike almost any other California Chard we’ve found. A beautifully refined and elegant wine, it’s effusive with sublime aromatics and dripping with minerals, jasmine flower essences, and a stone fruit core. While ripe and oak-kissed, it still soars with vibrant acidity in each satisfying sip. The finish is ridiculously long for a white wine of any kind, which speaks to the impeccable structure that will allow this beauty to go the distance in the cellar, like a great white Burgundy, for 15 years or more.
Produced: 176 cases
Aging: Fermented in 50% new Caldwell Cooperage French oak barrels and aged for 10 months.
