About the Cocktail
The Highland Gold Rush Cocktail is a golden, sun‑kissed fusion of Tequila Ocho Añejo (aged in Old Fitzgerald bourbon barrels), bright lemon, silky honey syrup, apricot liqueur, and a whisper of orange bitters. We received this recipe from PourMore, whose curated selections always seem to strike that perfect balance between craftsmanship and discovery. It’s the kind of drink that feels both rugged and refined — a highland breeze wrapped in warm Southern charm. The thyme sprig and lemon twist add a fragrant lift that turns every sip into a small celebration.
His Take: “A bourbon‑kissed tequila cocktail with backbone — smooth, bright, and quietly confident.”
Her Take: “Elegant, aromatic, and beautifully balanced — a golden moment in a glass.”
The Good Life: A cocktail that reminds you that luxury isn’t loud — it’s intentional.
