How We Feel About the Mi Familia Flores Añejo Tequila

Joint Introduction

Our love affair with Mi Familia Flores started the day the Spirits Manager at Total Wine Nashville waved us over like he was letting us in on a secret. “Try this,” he said — and that simple moment changed our entire tequila landscape. We brought home the Cristalino Reposado first, shared it with friends and family, and watched it become the unofficial house favorite. People started asking us to pick up bottles whenever we were back in Nashville because finding it in Alabama is like trying to catch lightning in a jar.

Then came the Reserva Suprema Añejo — a bottle that felt like a celebration wrapped in glass.

So when Total Wine Nashville announced a sale on all the Mi Familia Flores bottles, we didn’t hesitate. We looked at each other, nodded, and said what we were both thinking: “Should we just get them all?”

Yes. Yes, we should.

We ordered every bottle online and picked them up like treasure hunters claiming their prize.

We haven’t opened them yet — but the time is coming. The rest of this beloved family is waiting to be known.

His Take

The Añejo feels like the middle child who knows exactly who he is — confident, balanced, and quietly impressive. Based on what the website hints at, I’m expecting warm oak, a little caramel, maybe even a touch of dried fruit. Something tells me this bottle is going to be the “sit back and unwind” pour — the one that doesn’t need to show off because it already knows it’s good.

Her Take

This bottle gives me “evening glow” energy — the kind of tequila that invites you to slow down and savor. The website suggests richness without heaviness, depth without drama. I’m expecting a silky texture, soft sweetness, and a finish that feels like a gentle exhale. This is the bottle I’ll reach for when I want comfort with a little sophistication.

Joint Closing

Here’s to the bottles that meet us exactly where we are — His, Hers & the Good Life.

How One Should Enjoy the Bottle

Añejo tequilas walk that beautiful line between sipping and mixing — refined enough to enjoy neat, but flexible enough to shine in a well‑crafted cocktail. This one feels like it could do both.

Suggested Cocktail: The Golden Hour Añejo Old Fashioned

A short, heavy crystal glass sits on a sun‑warmed cantina table, its wood weathered and textured from years of stories. The Añejo Old Fashioned glows a deep amber, catching the light like honey. A single clear ice cube rests at the center, slowly melting. Behind it, the cantina blurs into soft golden tones — warm lights, rustic beams, and the faint suggestion of music drifting through the air.
Crafted by us, visualized with a little AI magic.
