About the Cocktail
The Last Word is a cocktail with mystique — bright, herbal, citrusy, and anchored by the famously elusive Green Chartreuse. We discovered this gem during our August 2026 Ledges Mixology “Barrel & Glass” Class, where Joey proudly presented his single hard-earned bottle like a trophy. It’s a drink that feels both classic and adventurous.
His Take:
Jeff loved how the lime and cherry liqueur softened the gin’s juniper bite. It struck a perfect balance for him — refreshing, citrus-forward, and surprisingly smooth.
Her Take:
Gin cocktails aren’t usually my go-to, but this one won me over. I added a little extra Luxardo cherry liqueur (sweet tooth forever), and it made the drink sing. I’m still not sure what flavor note the Chartreuse contributed, but the overall cocktail was delightful.
The Good Life:
The Last Word fits beautifully into the Good Life — rare ingredients, shared curiosity, and a cocktail that sparks conversation. It’s the kind of drink that becomes a memory.
