Finished in Magdalena Rum casks, an all-natural, cane-to-glass Guatemalan rum created by the Westward Whiskey team from the finest possible ingredients and a low, slow fermentation process, this American Whiskey offers tropical and fruity notes to complement the signature bold, robust flavors of our whiskeys.

The third Westward bottle we added to the Sipping Room brings a global influence to the lineup. After Pourmore introduced us to the brand through the unforgettable Reserve Bar Top Flight Series Barrel 16, we knew we wanted to explore the full range of Westward’s creativity. That search led us to the Westward American Single Malt Whiskey Rum Cask — the boldest of the trio at 100 proof.
This expression marries the mindset of the American Northwest with the founder’s Guatemalan roots. Finished in Magdalena Rum casks — a cane‑to‑glass rum created by the Westward team using a slow fermentation process — the whiskey promises tropical and fruity notes layered over Westward’s signature malt backbone.
It’s a bottle that feels adventurous, vibrant, and deeply intentional. Even unopened, it hints at a tasting experience that blends cultures and climates in a way only Westward could pull off.
We’re saving this one for the right moment, letting anticipation build the way it always does with bottles that feel special. And based on our first encounter with the brand, we suspect this Rum Cask will only deepen our appreciation for what Westward is doing.
