About This Spirit from the Maker
Angel's Envy® Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Port Wine Barrels
ANGEL’S ENVY KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY begins with four to six years of aging in new American white oak barrels, then is finished for up to six months in port wine casks imported from Portugal’s Douro Valley. This double-aging process delivers our signature smoothness and a rich, layered flavor profile. Bottled at 86.6 proof, it reveals notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and ripe dark fruit with a warm, balanced finish. Enjoy it neat, over ice, or in a classic cocktail like the Old Fashioned or Paper Plane. A timeless expression and the perfect gift for any whiskey enthusiast.
TASTING NOTES
With a Gold color laced with reddish amber hues, nearly copper in tone. Our bourbon is finished in port wine barrels which adds subtly distinct flavor nuances that enhance the whiskey without challenging it.
NOSE
Subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts
PALATE
Vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate
FINISH
Clean and lingering sweetness with a hint of Madeira that slowly fades

How We Feel About the Spirit
Angel’s Envy 457 Edition: A Collector’s Pour with a Patriotic Edge
Written by Nancy Fae for His, Hers & the Good Life
Introduction
Some bottles arrive with a story already carved into their glass. Our Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels – 457 Edition – is one of them. We picked it up as part of the Trump 45/47 Patriotic Collection, not for political signaling but for the craftsmanship of the etching and the novelty of the release. We’re politically independent, firmly planted in the middle, and happily so. But we’re also collectors, and this bottle—with its deeply etched 457 flag—felt like a piece of Americana worth preserving.
Like the core Angel’s Envy Port-Finished Bourbon, this edition carries the same spirit inside. But ours will remain sealed, admired for its artistry rather than poured. Some bottles are meant to be tasted; others are meant to be kept. This one sits squarely in the latter category.
His Take (Jeff)
There’s something undeniably cool about a bottle that blends classic bourbon heritage with a bold patriotic design. I’m a sucker for craftsmanship, and the etching on this 457 Edition is sharp, clean, and weighty—like it was made to outlast trends and elections alike.
I know what the standard Angel’s Envy Port-Finished Bourbon tastes like: rich, warm, and rounded with that signature port sweetness. But this bottle isn’t about flavor for me. It’s about the story. It’s about collecting something that marks a moment in time. It’s about adding a piece to our shelf that sparks conversation without needing to be uncorked.
This one stays sealed. And honestly, that feels right.
Her Take (Nancy Fae)
I’m still learning how to identify flavor notes, so normally I’d swirl, sniff, and sip my way into understanding a bottle. But this one? This one is more about presence than palate.
The etched flag caught my eye first — bold but elegant, patriotic without shouting. It feels like a commemorative piece, something you display rather than drink. I love that it shares the same spirit as the core Angel’s Envy Port-Finished Bourbon, because it means I know it would be delicious. But I also love that we’ve chosen to keep it untouched.
For me, this bottle is a reminder that collecting isn’t always about consumption. Sometimes it’s about appreciation.
Closing in the His, Hers & the Good Life Style
His (Jeff)
This bottle earns its place on the shelf because it’s unique, well-crafted, and tied to a moment in history. It’s a collector’s piece with character.
Her (Nancy Fae)
I love how this bottle blends beauty and meaning. It’s a keepsake — one that feels special every time I walk past it in our Sipping Room.
The Good Life
The Good Life is about savoring what matters — whether that’s a pour shared with friends or a bottle kept sealed for its story. The Angel’s Envy 457 Edition fits perfectly into that philosophy. It’s a reminder that enjoyment comes in many forms, and sometimes the best part of a bottle is simply having it.

How to Enjoy
Even though ours will remain sealed, here’s how you could enjoy the core Angel’s Envy Port-Finished Bourbon:
Neat: Its port finish shines when enjoyed without distraction.
With a Drop of Water: Opens up the sweeter notes and softens the oak.
In a Whiskey Glass with a Large Cube: A slow melt brings out deeper fruit tones.
Paired with Dessert: Dark chocolate, berry tarts, or a rich cheesecake complement the port influence.
As a Special-Occasion Pour: This is a bottle meant for meaningful moments.
For the 457 Edition specifically: Display it proudly. Let it be a conversation starter. Let it be part of your collection’s story.
