How We Feel About the Mi Familia Flores Extra Añejo Tequila
Joint Introduction
Our Mi Familia Flores journey began with a simple invitation from the Spirits Manager at Total Wine Nashville — “You two need to try this.” That moment changed everything. We brought home the Cristalino Reposado first, shared it with friends and family, and watched it become the bottle everyone asked for. It’s hard to find in Alabama, so every Nashville trip became a mission.
Then came the Reserva Suprema Añejo — a bottle that felt like a celebration in glass.
So when Total Wine Nashville announced a sale on all the Mi Familia Flores bottles, we looked at each other and grinned. “Should we get them all?”We didn’t even need to answer. We ordered them online and picked them up like treasure hunters claiming their prize.
We haven’t opened them yet — but the Extra Añejo feels like the crown jewel waiting for its moment.
His Take
The Extra Añejo is the elder statesman of the lineup — aged, confident, and unapologetically complex. I’m expecting deep oak, roasted agave, and maybe a whisper of chocolate or tobacco. This is the kind of tequila that doesn’t rush to impress; it just is. I imagine it’ll pour like a slow conversation — one that gets better with every sip.
