About This Spirit from the Maker

ALL OF THE CHILL.

NONE OF THE BRAIN FREEZE!

Numbskull is an award-winning American whiskey made with natural flavors and extracts. Notes of dark chocolate, peppermint bark, and vanilla bean ice cream with a hint of lightly toasted American oak, and a cooling finish of fresh mint leaves.

THE MAKING OF NUMBSKULL

The best ideas come from a group of suits sitting around for hours in a conference room, said no one ever. Until now. Believe it or not, this is exactly how Numbskull came to be. After hours of reviewing spreadsheets, our self-proclaimed team clown attempted to break the ice and was called out for being a Numbskull.

Inspired by the guilty pleasure of freezing chocolate mint cookies (you know the ones we’re talking about) Numbskull is a flavor that defies conventions, an experience that dares to be different. It’s the culmination of science, artistic innovation, and a testament to the fact that sometimes, the craziest ideas can lead to the most brilliant outcomes.

Be bold. Be different. Unleash your inner Numbskull. After all, life is too short to take everything seriously.

How We Feel About the Spirit

Numbskull Cool Mint & Chocolate Flavored Whiskey: A York Peppermint Patty in a Glass

Some bottles find you when you least expect it. During a tasting at Total Wine in Nashville, we stumbled across Numbskull Cool Mint & Chocolate Flavored Whiskey—a bottle we hadn’t gone looking for, but one that instantly earned its place in our Sipping Room.

One pour over ice was all it took. Suddenly we were transported straight into the world of a liquid York Peppermint Patty—cool, sweet, refreshing, and just plain fun. It’s the kind of sip that makes you smile before you even realize you’re doing it.

🍫 A Flavor That Surprises You

Numbskull leans unapologetically into its dessert-like profile. The chocolate is smooth and creamy, the mint bright without being sharp, and the whiskey base ties everything together with a gentle warmth. Over ice, the flavors open up even more, turning each sip into a refreshing treat.

It’s not trying to be serious or brooding. It’s playful. It’s nostalgic. It’s the after-dinner mint you didn’t know you needed.

❄️ Our Ritual: A Pour for Pure Enjoyment

Whenever we want to harken back to that first taste in Nashville, we give ourselves a small pour. No ceremony, no rules—just a moment to enjoy something delicious and unexpected. It’s become one of those bottles that reminds us why collecting is so much fun in the first place.

🥃 A Fun Addition to the Sipping Room

In a collection filled with heritage bottles, rare finds, and meaningful milestones, Numbskull Cool Mint & Chocolate brings a different kind of joy. It’s whimsical. It’s memorable. And it’s a guaranteed conversation starter for anyone who wanders into the Sipping Room and spots it on the shelf.

Not every bottle needs to be profound. Some simply need to be delightful—and this one absolutely is.
